2018 … where do we beGIN?
Big River’s first release, the Canberra Dry Gin, has been very well received by all lucky tasters since it was launched in August 2018.
Canberra Dry Gin is a contemporary style gin packed with intense juniper and lively citrus flavours, finished with a post-distillation addition of cucumber that ‘freshens up’ the palate.
“The response at the Distillery Door has been great, with many people saying it’s a very refreshing, perfect summer-time gin,” says Big River founder and distiller Clyde Morton.
Ideal for the coming warmer months; try it neat over lots of ice or in the classic gin & tonic with a cucumber & cracked pepper garnish.
Also just released is Big River’s 3 Grains Flavoured Vodka. First in part of an ongoing series of special small-batch releases, the 3 Grains Flavoured Vodka is made in manner similar to the Canberra Dry Gin.
It uses ultra-pure grain spirit re-distilled in the presence of rye, barley and buckwheat (and yes, buckwheat is not a true cereal, being more closely related to rhubarb than wheat!). As this is a limited release, the 3 Grains Flavoured Vodka is available only at the Distillery Door.
